On March 15, 2012, ABC Family announced the development of the fifth installment in the Home Alone series. It's classic and a lot of slapstick comedies would use something similar throughout the '90s. Marv is far from the brightest bulb, but Kevin is lucky that he fell for it. It's still humorous to watch but the elements that stack against it lead it to be the weakest trap in Home Alone, but it did plant the seed for a much better version of the trap in the sequel featuring Tim Curry's character. Turns out, due to a mix-up among nefarious spies, Alex was given a toy car concealing a top-secret microchip. Now Alex must fend off the spies as they try to break into his house to get it back.
